ABSTRACT
Pharmaceutical sales and marketing play a pivotal role in the successful commercialization of drug products and ensuring that effective medications reach the appropriate patient populations. This review explores the various strategies, channels, and regulatory considerations involved in the pharmaceutical sales and marketing landscape. It examines the evolution of pharmaceutical marketing, from traditional face-to-face interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to the modern digital transformation, which includes online marketing, social media engagement, and data analytics. The review also highlights the key ethical issues and regulatory frameworks, such as the role of the FDA and other global regulatory bodies, in ensuring that marketing practices remain transparent, scientifically sound, and in compliance with laws that protect patients and HCPs.
