IMPACT OF PARENTAL FAULTY LIFE STYLE ON UPCOMING GENERATION W.S.R. TO JUVENILE DIABETES

ABSTRACT

India is a developing country; here communicable diseases, non-communicable disease, nutritional problem and over population are priority problem for public health sector. Non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes mellitus which are lifelong chronic illness, with risk of life threatening complications are getting less priority. Adult diabetes is the biggest problem in world and India is capital of diabetes according to different health survey. In addition there is increased prevalence of juvenile diabetes in India having genetic etiology. These genetic changes are mutated due to the flawed life style of parents. In fetal life due to improper nutrition fetal growth affects thus low birth wt. baby delivered. A hypothesis related to this condition is propounded i.e. Beckers hypothesis. A hypothesis proposed in 1990 by the British epidemiologist David Barker known as a Beckers hypothesis. In addition there are chances of new emergence cases of congenital or juvenile diabetes due to faulty life style of parents. Garbhakar bhava, garbhavridhhikar bhava, Garbhopghatkar bhava also plays important role in the proper development of faetus. If these factors are improper then they develop many diseases faetus like juvenile diabetes etc. Therefore following Ayurved life style and Garbhini Paricharya is use to prevent such event and emergence of new cases of genetic disease like juvenile diabetes.
