EFFICACY OF YAVAKSHARA SITA YOG AND VARUN TWAK KWATH IN THE MANAGEMENT OF MUTRAKRICCHRA W.S.R. OF CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY

ABSTRACT
The ancient science of Indian medical system encompasses knowledge of mutrakricchra from vedic kala. Atharvaveda mentioned mutrakricchra or mutravrodha chikitsa in a broad manner; however mutrakricchra also described as a separate chapter along with its etiology, clinical features and treatment. It is considers as lakshana of many diseases such as; pakvashayasta vata and shukraasmari etc. The lower urinary tract problems also resemble these symptoms as per modern medical science. Present study involves assessment of efficacy of yavakshara sita yog and varun twak kwath in the management of mutrakricchra W.S.R. of culture and sensitivity. 30 patients were selected and divided into three groups, irrespective of their sex, religion and occupation considering inclusion and exclusion criteria. Powder of Yavakshara and Sita was mixed in equal proportion and filled it in 500mg capsule with Varun twak kwatha 25 ml. The patients were reviewed on 14th day and 21st day after their inclusion in the study. The efficacy of the drugs was evaluated based on statistical analysis.
