FORMULATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF LEMONGRASS STICK FRAGRANCE

ABSTRACT

India is and ancient country with many regions and different community peoples living together. Indian people are more spiritual with their god or almighty. For the same purpose they use sick fragrance for their worship. Stick Fragrance are widely used in India for different places including Temple and Offices. Different types and fragrances are available in market for Stick Fragrances. Many Times natural flower fragrances are preferred by Indian People example Chafa, Kevda, Mogra, Sandal etc. Many manufactures make stick fragrance for insect repellent purposes. Lemongrass is one of the natural grasses containing medicinal oil used for different purposes. Lemongrass oil is used for insect repellent purpose. In this article we used Lemongrass oil and other natural powder to manufacture Sticks. Prepared Sticks are used for both Fragrance and Insect repellent Purposes. Prepared Sticks are evaluated for various parameters and it shows good result as compare with marketed formulation. This article can be used for further formulation containing different types of fragrances and natural product for medicinal and pharmaceutical uses.
