THERAPEUTIC ROLE OF MEDHYA RASAYANA W.S.R. TO HEALTH BENEFITS IN MANAS ROGA

ABSTRACT

Rasayana or rejuvenation therapy hold significant place in Ayurveda amongst the various other therapies. Rasayana or rejuvenation therapy involves many approaches and Medhya Rasayana is one of the categories under Rasayana therapy. Medhya Rasayana enhances regeneration of neural tissue, cognitive functions, relives stress and boost memory. These properties of Medhya Rasayana make them most suitable remedies for Manasa Vikaras. Various neural and behavior disorders can be managed using the specific Medhya Rasayana to treat condition like anxiety, depression, insomnia and other disorders, etc. Medhya Rasayana such as; Mandukaparni, Yashtimadhu, Guduchi and Shankhapushpi impart positive effects on mental health, they enhances Dhi, Dhriti, Smriti and rejuvenates entire system against Manasa Vikaras. This article explores therapeutic role of Medhya Rasayana and their health benefits in Manas roga.
