ABSTRACT
Infertility is a global health concern affecting millions of couples, with significant medical, psychological, and social implications. It is defined as the inability to conceive after 12 months of regular, unprotected intercourse and may result from factors related to either or both partners or remain unexplained. One important cause of infertility in women of reproductive age is a reduction in the quantity and quality of oocytes due to poor ovarian reserve. In Ayurveda, infertility due to low Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) levels can be correlated with Apraja or Dhatu-Kshayajanya Vandhyatva resulting from Artava Dushti. This article presents a case study of a 30-year-old female diagnosed with primary infertility due to low AMH levels, who underwent Ayurvedic treatment. The treatment included Shodhana therapy, specifically Uttar basti with Phalaghrita, aimed at eliminating accumulated toxins, along with Shamana therapies involving Ayurvedic formulations and dietary modifications. These interventions were designed to balance the Doshas, nourish the reproductive system, and promote overall well-being. The study documents the patient's progress, highlighting an increase in AMH levels and successful conception following the treatment.
