Abstract
CURRENT PERSPECTIVE ON AVAILABLE MEDICAL MANAGEMENT IN ARTHRITIC POPULATION

ABSTRACT

Arthritis can lead to a person's inability to perform activities of daily living. Therapy for arthritis aims to control pain, minimize joint damage and improve or maintain quality of life. Arthritis is treated with a combination of medications, physical therapy and herbal remedies and patient's education. In other words, arthritis is a chronic, progressive and disabling disease commonly occurring at various joints. Two most common types of arthritis i.e. rheumatoid arthritis (chronic, autoimmune disease) and osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease) are reported. The aim of this paper is to discuss about its correlation immunologically with arthritis disease. In addition to provide information about various medicinal plants that are proficiently used worldwide for treatment of arthritis. This review presents few medicinal plants along with active constituent being used for the treatment of arthritis.
