ABSTRACT
Phenylhydrazine (PHZ) and its derivatives were first given a medical application at the end of the 19th century but with very little benefit. PHZ-induced haemolytic injury seems to be derived from oxidative alternations to red blood cell proteins. This compound can modulate immune reactions. Phenylhydrazine which was previously used as a medicine against haemocytopenia is a potent chemical that has the ability to cause toxicity at various levels in different tissues. It is observed that administrating PHZ by various routes mainly causes hematotoxicity which further leads to haemolytic anaemia. Phenylhydrazine is a chemical that induce the toxicity by free radical formation. The consequences reported due to phenylhydrazine are mutagenesis, carcinogenesis, teratogenesis, enzymatic damages along with inhibition in protein synthesis. It even has effects on the smooth muscles. phenylhydrazine can be administered to the experimental animal to induce and study for haemolytic anaemia. Due to the potency of the PHz it can be used as the model for haemolytic anaemia. Phenylhydrazine can be administered to the experimental animal to induce and study for haemolytic anaemia. Due to the potency of the PHz it can be used as the model for haemolytic anaemia. Eclipta alba has also been reported with multiple medicinal uses and is known for numerous biological activities. It is an enormous source of several secondary metabolites, such as polypeptides, polyacetylenes and triterpenes, flavonoids, phytosterols, and coumestans. The extract containing active ingredients provided more safety and compatibility which has more accessibility in pharmaceutical and medical science and that may promote the herbal medicine with any drug used in heamocytopeniasideeffects or toxicities for heamoprotective therapy.
