NANOSTRUCTURED BASED NiO BIOSENSOR FOR THE DETECTION OF GLUCOSE

ABSTRACT

In present study, we doped Co into NiO were synthesized by Sol-Gel method. and the materials were characterized by FTIR, UV –VIS spectroscopy, XRD and TEM. From the spectral studies size of nonmaterial was found to be 32-37 nm. The nanocomposite CHIT/NiO/Au has been fabricated by spin coating technique. Further the bioelectrode GOx/CHIT/NiO /Au was fabricated by immobilizing enzymes Glucose Oxidase (GOx) on nanocomposite by physical adsorption method. The electrode material for glucose sensing based on CHIT/NiO/Au shows high sensitivity, low detection limit, wide linear range and the outstanding reproducibility. The sensor shows excellent result for detection of glucose in 10-50mM concentration range.
