CRYO-REJUVINATION – A HOPE OF THE CENTURY FOR HIV/RETRO POSITIVE

ABSTRACT

Cryonics is the science which deals with the techniques in which the body temperature is lowered down to extreme sub-zero temperatures so that it may be preserved for long durations. At present the HIV infection is a global threat and millions of the people are suffering with both the infect ion and the terminal stages such as AIDS. To describe the HIV virus, it’s an RNA virus and follows the mechanism of reverse transcriptase, that’s Why it’s considered to be a retrovirus. The family of retrovirus has an unique tendency to make the DNA from RNA one step before that is usually not found anywhere else. HIV doesn’t have its own self metabolism and relies upon the metabolism of the host specifically the CD4+ cells. When the HIV is exposed to extremely low temperatures (negative 60 degrees Celsius) the virus denatures and the host is freed from the infection. Considering the principle of cryonics, we have coined a new word, Cryo-rejuvination – transient exposure of HIV/Retro Positive patients to extreme sub-zero temperatures, to destroy and denature the virus. A study on animals is yet to be carried out to prove the principle.
