AN OVERVIEW- DIFFERENT ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES FOR THE ESTIMATION OF TENELIGLIPTIN AND METFORMIN IN PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORM

ABSTRACT

Teneligliptin and metformin are pharmaceutical drugs used for the treatment of type-2 diabetes mellitus. This review is based on estimation of Teneligliptin and its combination with Metformin. Various analytical methods has been carried out for its estimation like UV, RP-HPLC, Stability indicating HPLC, liquid chromatography, HPTLC, UPLC, UFLC, RP-UHPLC, LC-MS/MS. The UV estimation has been carried out in three different spectroscopic methods like simultaneous equation, absorbance ratio and first derivative (zero crossing) spectroscopic methods. An accurate precise and reproducible HPLC method was developed for the quantitative estimation of Metformin and Teneligliptin simultaneously in tablet dosage form. Ultra fast liquid chromatographic (RP-UFLC) is a fast, reliable and cost effective method. The present review will be used for research and study purpose regarding Metformin and Teneligliptin.
