ABSTRACT
There is an increasing need for new dosage forms to achieve better patient compliance. Dosage forms that dissolve in the mouth are becoming increasingly popular Recent popularity due to this dosage form does not require water for application. N-acetylcystine is a drug to use in a acetoaminophen overdose. Also use in a break a mucus to treat a bronchitis. Also protect the liver. The present work to formulate and evaluate fast mouth Dissolving film of N-Acetylcysteine. film were formulated using HPMC-15 and ployethylene glycol this two different film forming polymer. Film manufactured using a cast process and have been found to meet the oral dissolution time and other parameters of the film. The film is immediately moistened with saliva, hydrates quickly, adheres to the tongue, and disintegrates rapidly and dissolves to release or allow the drug to be absorbed into the buccal mucosa. Gastrointestinal absorption can be achieved by ingestion. The formulated film exhibits acceptable film resistance. The time required for Films for drug dissolution and release were made for 35seconds and 50 seconds, respectively.
Keywords: N-Acetylcysteine, Buccal mucosa, Gastrointestinal absorption.
