Abstract
ASSESSMENT OF SERUM SALT LEVELS IN DIFFERENT DEHA PRAKRITI AND CONTRIBUTION OF SALT TOWARDS THE PITTA PREDOMINANCE

ABSTRACT

Prakriti is a unique concept of Ayurveda which describes specific characteristics of person. Acharya Sushruta mentioned that Dosha predominant at the time of conception contributed towards the specific Prakriti of child. Doshas plays important role towards the formation of Prakriti of individual, the physical, social, mental and spiritual conducts of person depends upon the Prakriti. Doshas are responsible for both Prakriti as well as for the occurrence of diseases since vitiation of Doshas causes diseases. Therefore it is very important to assess the Prakriti of person before planning the treatment protocol. The person of specific Prakriti posses particular constitutions thus levels of elements varies according to the Prakriti of individuals. Considering this fact we planned a study to measures serum salt level in peoples belonging from different types of Prakriti, this study was based on the fact that person of Pitta Prakriti possess high serum salt level as compared to the person of other Prakriti.
