AYURVEDA PERSPECTIVE OF HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY AND CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF DOSHA, DHATU AND MALA

ABSTRACT
Sharir Kriya is science which deals with the physiological aspects of human body and functional role of various biological entities. Sharir Kriya as science explores normal functions of living organism and mechanism related with specific biological process. The human physiology as per Ayurveda merely depends upon the biological state of Dosha, Dhatu and Mala which also considered as basic physiological blocks of human body. Dhatus performs various functions including holding of bodily elements and transportation of bio-materials, etc. Rasa, Rakta, Mamsa, Meda, Asthi, Majja and Shukra are main Dhatus of human body. Similarly Doshas are important entity of human body which are related with physiological and pathological events inside the body, Vata, Pitta and Kapha are three Doshas of human body. The concept of Mala referred to the metabolic activities as well as detoxification process. Considering importance of Dhatus, Doshas and Malas present article explores general principle of Sharir Kriya W.S.R. to the physiological role of Dhatus, Doshas and Malas.
