FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL LIPSTICK CONTAINING POMEGRANATE JUICE, BEET ROOT EXTRACT, TOMATO JUICE, TURMERIC

ABSTRACT
Herbal cosmetics are the latest trend in the field of beauty and fashion. These beauty products provide proper nutrition, improve health and ensure user satisfaction compared to synthetic cosmetics. Currently, the popularity of herbal product has increased. The current work is aimed at making herbal lip balms using various natural ingredients such as pomegranate juice, Tomato, Beet roots, Olive oil, beeswax, paraffin wax, vanilla essence. The built-in herbal lipsticks were examine with parameters like color, melting point, breaking point, PH, skin biting test, aging firmness, was determined and reported. Because of various adverse effects of the synthetic preparations to improve patient compliance the current formulation was developed by us to make herbal lipstick. Side effects can be reduced by using herbal color quotes from different herbal sources. Current research focuses on lipstick background, composition, natural oils, bases, flavors, physical examination, makeup and lipstick imperfections. . Lipstick containing synthetic colorants made from harmful chemicals and is very harmful to our skin. It causes many problems such as allergies, nausea, dermatitis, and dry mouth and can be very carcinogenic and deadly. Therefore, the demand for cosmetics containing herbal ingredients has increased considerably around the world because of their safety. From the current investigation it has been found that formulations with promising results such as pH 6, melting point 59-61˚C etc. Based on the data, it can be concluded that the use of natural color in lip making has very little or no side effect. From the current investigated formulated batches F3 was found as optimized batch.
