ABSTRACT
Cancer is a serious and important growing disease. Cancer has become the leading cause of homicide worldwide. Many factors like environmental factors, habitual activities, genetic factors etc. are responsible for cancer. Many cancer patients seek alternative and/or complementary treatments due to the high mortality associated with cancer and the adverse side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Standard medicine has a long history, beginning with the search for plant substances to treat various diseases, including cancer. In the standard medicinal system, several plants used to treat diseases have many bioactive compounds with curative properties, which also help in disease prevention. The plant also provides a significant supply to the pharmaceutical industry worldwide. Further study is needed to assess the efficacy of these herbal products in the treatment of cancer in humans. This article will provide a basic set of information for researchers involved in the expansion of safe and hygienic cancer treatment based on active medicinal plants. The research will provide a scientific basis for the standard use of these medicinal herbs to treat cancer. Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is among the most common cancers of the oral cavity in individuals under the age of 40.
